How it all began...

Some people are fortunate enough to discover their talents and passions early on in life. We've all met them: People who seem to have been doing what they love from the day they were born. Sadly it didn't work that way for me. In fact, it wasn't until December of 2014 that I discovered my love for painting.

It all started with a random trip to Michaels (the local arts and crafts store) to pick up some storage bins for Renata's work. For years I'd been hounding my wife about the idea of trying painting - maybe taking a class together - but it never happened. So when I saw a huge sale on paint sets I knew the time had come...and luckily for me, she obliged. As a result I came home the proud owner of my very first paint kit - a beginner's watercolor set. Of course, I had no idea what I was doing, but somehow when I picked up that brush for the first time, it felt right.

Since then I've been painting nearly every day - mostly in acrylics - learning as I go. It's been an adventure filled with hours of online tutorials, library books, successes and failures, and I've loved every minute of it.
