The Sparse Gallery

If you've taken the time to check out my "Gallery" page you've probably noticed it's a little empty and almost all of the listed paintings are on 8"x10" canvases. There's a reason for that (and it's not that I only paint 8"x10"). Actually, there are a couple of reasons:
The first is that we don't really have a good digital camera to take pictures with. Initially any pictures that were taken were fairly low quality shots from Renata's phone. (The linked picture is an example of a picture she took). To compensate for that I've been using our scanner - which can only scan up to a certain size. So I've painted a number of larger paintings I'm just not able to scan them. Which isn't such a bad thing, because the scanner isn't a great option. It produces an extreme close-up view, but paintings are generally meant to be viewed at least a few feet away to get the best effect.
The other major reason is that people started showing interest in my artwork before I really thought to document it. So some of the paintings I've done moved on to new homes before I took a photo of them.
In the future I hope to do a better job of documenting my work but thank you for bearing with me as I get things set up.
